Oasis Center International + The House LA Summer Architecture + Design Pilot Program

I partnered with Oasis and The House LA this summer to bring a 5-week pilot program to the local community in downtown LA. It initially started as a architecture and design workshop series geared towards kids between the ages of 7-12 but it evolved into a family affair. Parents of the participating kids who initially only came to drop off his/her kid ended up staying for the whole duration of each workshop and participated in each activity. It warmed my heart to see the response and to allow a place and space for them to explore my professional field.

Each and every one of them amazed me with their drive, curiosity and commitment to completing each assigned task. This whole venture was a gamble for me and the positive responses I received had me convinced I was doing something right.

Thank you to the families who came, stayed and laughed alongside me. You've taught me a lot this summer and I can't wait to offer more programs like these in Los Angeles. Thank you Oasis Center International and The House LA for sponsoring the program and for your support.
